Padmashree Anwar Khan Manganiyar is one of the leading vocalists of folk, Sufi and traditional music of western Rajasthan.

Ustad Anwar Khan was born in a traditional musician family in a small village named Baiya in Rajasthan. He started his musical journey from his village in house of patrons.

He has established communication with audiences from varied cultural backgrounds and tradition. The perfection of his lyrics and commitment to inner faith worship, lends richness and depth to his performances. He has worked with and trained young talent of his community. Anwar has the ability to scale ragas with as much ease as he can sing the earthy notes of a fast tempo folk song.

He has extensively travelled within India and Abroad as a Cultural Ambassador to the countries like America, Germany, Japan, France, Italy, Australia, Iran, Iraq, Spain, Switzerland and Russia. He has worked with maestros like Pt. Ravi Shankar, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhat and others.

He has given his voice in various films, documentaries of All India Radio, BBC and reputed Indian television channels.
